Why am I given a Traffic Offence Notification?

You have been issued a Traffic Offence Notification for violating traffic rules on campus under the University and University College Act 1971, Universiti Putra Malaysia (Student Disciplinary) Rules 2005. Thus, the Security Department has the power to sue offenders to ensure the campus is safe and in control. To check the status of the summons please go to http://e-saman.upm.edu.my/

How much is the penalty for each traffic offence?

RM50.00 will be imposed on one traffic offence. Refer to Universities Putra Malaysia Regulation (Student Disciplinary Rules) 2005 at HERE.

How do I apply for the signage service?

Get the application form OPR/BKU/BR03/TANDA at the Security Department counter or download it from the Security Division website. The form must be completed and returned in two (2) copies to the Security Department three (3) days before the day of the event for processing. For more information please go to HERE.

How do I apply for a Vehicle Escort service?

Get the application form OPR/BKU/BR01/IRING at the Security Department counter or download it from the Security Division website. Are the physical Matrix Card and the Staff Card still in use despite having the PutraVID application?

Yes, the physical Matric Card and the Staff Card are still used as identification documents as UPM students / staff. It is also used as:-

  • Access card to enter office space or certain areas in UPM premises such as in faculties and hospitals that use the door access system.
  • Its use is also extended to the purpose of lending books in libraries.

    How much fee charged if the Matric Card / Staff Card is lost?

    Based on the Registrar's Circular No. 4 of 2006 and the 239th Universiti Putra Malaysia Management Committee Meeting (JPU), the rate charged for the replacement of a lost Matric Card / Staff Card is RM30.00.

    What to do if the Matric Card / Staff Card is lost?

    If you lose your Matric Card / Staff Card, please go to the UPM Bursar Office Counter to pay a fine of RM30.00 and then to the Security Division Counter to make a loss report by completing the Loss / Damage Form OPR/BKU/BR01/HR.

    How to apply for a Worker Pass at UPM?

    Employee Passes are issued by the UPM Security Division to employees of outside companies who serve on the UPM campus. Applicants are required to complete the Working Pass Application Form OPR/BKU/BR01/EMPLOYEE PASS and enclose two (2) passport-sized photographs and a copy of the Identity Card. For non-Malaysian applicants, enclose one (1) copy of a valid passport.

    How much fee charged to apply for an Employee Pass?

    A fee of RM5.00 will be charged to apply for an Employee Pass and payment must be made at the UPM Bursar Office Counter.
